Bangalore, Karnataka Tourism
Karnataka has so much to attract the pilgrim as well as the tourist that much more can be written on the tourist attractions of the State alone. Bangalore, the capital city, has been home to many people in their retirement because of its equable climate. The importance of the city of gardens, with the famous Lalbaug, is increasing and the magnificent Vidhan Soudha built only in the fifties when K.Hanumanthaiah was the Chief Minister, is a center of much attraction for the excellent prospects it offers to the cinema people for shooting dance which are often representing the less glorious nut the more spectacular side of modern cinema.
Outside the city are the Nandi hills from which the road to the Nilgiris is clearly visible and where stand, at a height of 1370 meters above sea level, the temple of Chamundi. Gomateswara temple at Sravanabelgola is also another tourist attraction place, here religious festivals are being held and round the year thousands visit the place for religious and sight seeing purposes.
