Even though there is one announcement or other that threatens to result in a clash with Emraan Hashmi's 'Murder 2' on 8th July, the makers (Bhatts) are undeterred. Recently there were reports around Hrithik Roshan's 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' taking on 'Murder 2' heads-on. However the Mohit Suri directed film is not willing to budge from it's spot which it had announced weeks ago.
Informs a reliable trade source, "Every second week there is some film or another that targets the day when 'Murder 2' is supposed to arrive. First it was Ajay Devgn's 'Singham' and it was dubbed as the clash of 'Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai' antagonists. Then it was also said that the serial kisser would be taking on angry old man Amitabh Bachchan with 'Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap' eyeing for the same spot."
However with both 'Singham' as well as 'Bbuddah - Hoga Terra Baap' turning out to be false alarms more than anything else, seems Bhatts have stopped taking any such announcements seriously and for all the right reasons. Also, even 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' is now seriously considering 15th July as the D-day.
"What does one expect Bhatts to do? Why should they play around with their release plan on the basis of hearsay or some sudden announcements coming out of nowhere," an industry insider adds, "I don't see why Bhatts should be thinking of changing their release plans. Their film is complete, the song promotion should begin anytime and the biggest of them all, it's a franchise they are playing on. For its target audience, 'Murder' is no less a brand."
Though Emraan Hashmi was unavailable for comment, Mukesh Bhatt sounded quite sure about sticking to its original plans. "'Murder 2' is complete and we were the first to announce our plans long time back. We are not pushing our film any further."
With 15th July being wide open and no film yet scheduled for arrival on the said date, one can be rest assured that 'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' would think of letting go off the clash and arrive a week later.
