Salman Khan gets the ultimate tribute in Imran Khan's next

Imran Khan and Salman Khan
They say imitation is the best form of flattery. And while Salman has been known to pay homage to veteran actor Dilip Kumar by impersonating him ever so often, his years in the industry have elevated Sallu himself to the position of a demigod for the newer crop of actors. And frontlining the list of admirers is none other than Imran Khan.

The Delhi Belly star, in his forthcoming film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, has tried to imitate many of Sallu's trademark dialogues and dance steps, if the movie's first promo is anything to go by.

In the movie, Imran's character is on the lookout for the perfect bride for his brother, and falls in love with his brother's fiancee (Katrina Kaif) when he meets her. In one of the sequences when Katrina says that it was not easy for a guy and girl to just run away, Imran replies with Salman's popular dialogue from Wanted, Ek baar joh maine commitment kar diya toh main apne aapki bhi nahi sunta.

And that's not it! Imran has also tried to simulate a few memorable dance steps of the actor in one of the songs of the movie, also imitating Salman's famous towelbetween- thelegs- step from the song Jeene Ke Hai Chaar Din from Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, apart from the beltpulling step from Dabangg 's title track.

Till now it was only the famous dialogues of Amitabh Bachchan, Dilip Kumar or Raj Kapoor, that were imitated by the younger generation. Now, that Imran is making liberal use of Salman's dance and dialogues, Sallu should consider himself a member of the league of veteran actors. Mere Brother Ki Dulhan also stars Pakistani singer, and Tere Bin Laden star Ali Zafar. The movie is the directorial debut of Ali Abbas Zafar.
