Recipe Vengaya Uthappam
3 cups rice - soaked for 6 hours
1 1/4 cups of black gram dal - soaked for 6 hours
4 onions - chopped finely
1 tomato - chopped finely
coriander leaves - chopped finely
Oil and salt to taste
Grind rice to a coarse paste and dal to a find paste then add salt and mix the batters well. Leave the batter over night. Before making Uthappams, add opinions, tomatoes, coriander leaves. Mix well and make thick Uthappams. Serve hot with Sambar or Chuttney.
