Eva Longoria, others step out for fundraiser

Eva Longoria was in a great mood Saturday night. Her charity event, the second annual Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup, was a success.

One of the highlights occurred when Alan T. Brown, founder of The Alan T. Brown Foundation to Cure Paralysis, called out to those attending the Grey Goose-sponsored gala dinner at the Eden Roc Renaissance Miami Beach to each donate $1,000. In two minutes, $21,000 was raised.

The star-studded affair also joined event co-chairs JR and Loren Ridinger, singer Christina Milian, actress Jamie Lynn Sigler and entertainer Maria Conchita Alonso in raising funds for Miami-area pediatric cancer organizations.

“It’s a great way to bring awareness to pediatric cancer,’’ said Longoria. “The great thing about Miami is that it’s so sexy and unique. You never know what’s going to happen.’’

Will the Desperate Housewives star ever get a place here? Maybe.

“I’d come here every weekend if I could!’’ said Longoria, who also appeared at a signing Sunday for her cookbook, Eva’s Kitchen, at Williams-Sonoma at The Falls.

As for Sigler, the former Sopranos star likes having a little time on her hands.

“I’ve been acting nonstop since I was 16 so I’m sort of taking a break,’’ said the Long Island native. “I needed to step back, recharge my batteries.’’

Understandable. In her short life, Sigler has been through a divorce (from her former manager AJ Di Scala), Lyme disease and an eating disorder (exercise bulimia).

But offers keep coming. Sigler just wrapped a pilot with former ER star Sherry Stringfield called Criminal Behavior, “a modern day Cagney and Lacey,’’ she explained.

Next up: a vacation to Europe.

“I’m turning 30 [May 15] so this year is kind of monumental,’’ she said. “When I come back I’m going to reassess and find my next gig.”’
