The wedding celebrations of Jr. NTR and Lakshmi Pranathi commenced on a grand note at the specially laid multi-crore setting in the Hitex grounds in Hyderabad on Thursday evening with relatives, friends, fans and who's who in the state capital making their way to the venue.
The couple tied the nuptial knot at the auspicious muhurat , 2.41 a.m, on Friday.
The dignitaries included the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, former CM, K. Rosaiah, TD president N. Chandrababu Naidu, megastar Chirajeevi with his family, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna with his family, D. Ramanaidu, Venkatesh, Balakrishna and their family members. Apart from this, a huge gathering of producers, directors, artistes and technicians, politicians and business people thronged the venue to bless the couple.
A team of 36 priests from East Godavari district led by Karuparthi Koteswara Rao Sidhanti, who is also the actor`s personal astrologer, performed the wedding.
Elaborate arrangements were made for dinner before the marriage with 55 delicacies served in traditional `sahapankti vindu` style.
Sweets in the menu included the famous Oliga from Anantapur.
The bride`s sarees were also specially made in Dharmavaram.
The wedding has political significance as the groom is the son of N. Harikrishna and grandson of former Chief Minister N.T. Rama Rao and the bride is the granddaughter of another former Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu`s elder sister.
