Will Aamir beat Salman, SRK, Big B?
Apparently Aamir Khan has finally said ‘yes’ to a reality show on Indian television, following in the tracks of Anitabh Bachchan, Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and others. With so many stars hosting reality series, we wonder how this one will be different
At last the perfectionist Khan has bitten the bait. Apparently Aamir has agreed to be a part of a TV reality show that is being developed and written by the actor’s school friend and director of Zokkomon, Satyajeet Bhatkal. And if all goes well, Aamir will begin shooting as soon as he wraps up Reema Kagti’s film with Rani Mukherji and Kareena Kapoor. We are sure that the concept of the new show must be something extraordinary, since Aamir is one of the most difficult actors to please when it comes to something he has to be such an integral part of. He likes to get into every little detail and know everything there is to know about everything. But where knowing and this show is concerned, we’ll have to be patient, because no one is willing to tell us anything more than this. Though what we’d like to know for the moment is if Aamir’s buddy Salman Khan, who recently got Sanjay Dutt to be a part of Bigg Boss, had any influence on his decision to take a bow on the small screen. A few years ago Amitabh Bachchan started the trend of star actors hosting shows on television, followed by Shahrukh Khan for the same show – Kaun Banega Crorepati. Then suddenly every celebrity worth their acting chops was becoming part of the television world. That kind of killed the whole fad. In fact, two of SRK’s shows – Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain? and Zor Ka Jhatka – got a serious beating in the ratings game. But it looks like the trend is picking up once again. Big B and Akshay Kumar (Khatron ke Khiladi) have always returned as hosts of their respective shows, Hrithik Roshan is doing a decent job with Just Dance and Salman will be joined by buddy Sanjay Dutt on Bigg Boss, while SRK is playing the remote control card by producing Preity Zinta’s new show (Up Close and Personal with PZ!). Now so many of Aamir’s contemporaries already on the idiot box, this one’s going to be a tough cookie to crack, but we are sure he will make his attempt a worthy watch. After all, he ain’t no idiot, never mind what his films may be called!

Aamir, Salman, Shah Rukh mum on Lokpal issue?
Aamir Khan, who tried to take a stand on the Narmada Bachao Andolan a long time ago, got himself into a political mess. It's possible that these lessons from the past have made Aamir Khan distance himself from highly political and sensitive issues. It looks as though the actor, who is all over the place when his films are at the brink of release, prefers to remain in his secure zone when he doesn't have much to talk about.
Salman Khan, who is known to propagate the 'Being Human' mantra has also not commented his stand on the Lokpal and Janlokpal bill. He is only too happy and busy with his next release 'Bodyguard', and most likely will be available to the media once the Anna Hazare furore dies down. Call it a strategic movie if you may!
Many film personalities and trade analysts are of the opinion: "To each his own... Aamir spoke up the last time, and his film was banned in certain sections of the country. Shah Rukh Khan has experienced brickbats when some statements were made and had to face dire consequences. If actors don't wish to take a stand or give an opinion, it's perfectly understandable for every word they utter will be thoroughly weighed."
Shah Rukh Khan, on the other hand, did say that like everybody else, he too wished for a corruption-free India, but SRK also stated that he didn't know much about legal procedures and the judicial system and thus was inept to give a thorough point of view on the issue

The actor who is barely three years old in the profession has already managed to deliver hits since his debut in the Indian film industry. Films like JAANE TU....YAA JAANE NAA, I HATE LUV STORYS and DELHI BELLY had the critics raving about his acting and to add to this the audience has always given remarkable response to his performances.
The charming actor's career graph is not likely to see any dip but is only seems shooting upwards as the smash hit DELHI BELLY has done wonders to him.

As his stars are shining bright it just leaves everyone quizzing which is the project that Imran will sign next? All we hope is this rising star treads on his uncle's path to success.

Aamir refuses to work with best buddy Salman Khan
If sources are to be believed, Aamir has rejected David Dhawan’s Partner 2 in spite of loving the script, because he is not ready to work with his best buddy of times, Salman Khan citing reasons that they are men poles apart.
Aamir Khan also went forward humorously to comment that by the time Salman starts his day at a shoot, it’s time for me to wrap up, so it is impossible for the duo to manage to work together.
Jokes apart, even the studio staff too felt that the actors duo are separate men when it comes to work ethics and thus it is almost impossible make the two share the same screen again in future!

Dear Aamir, is bad the new good in selling films?
New Delhi: Actor Aamir Khan has put in a bad word for his upcoming venture 'Delhi Belly' starring his nephew Imran.
When Irish poet Brendan Behan commented “there’s no bad publicity except an obituary," little did he realize his words would find resonance with movie producers competing in an expanding industry that churns out hundreds of films a year - each fighting for exclusivity.
When Khan says his film is so bad that it has the potential to shatter the goodwill he has generated with his clean family entertainers over the years, it takes superhuman self discipline to curb the urge to roll the eyes.
Aamir Khan, late in his career, seems to have stumbled upon the power of carefully-casual bad publicity for upcoming releases.
The reticent actor who was once known for his limited media interaction and disregard for popular awards, has kick-started the promotional blitz for his new venture with a blog post that says 'Delhi Belly' has "the potential of destroying, in a single stroke, all the goodwill we have built in the last 10 years."
The film, co-produced by Aamir Khan Productions and UTV Motion Pictures, stars Imran Khan, Vir Das, and Kunal Roy Kapur and is slated to be released on July 1, 2011.
For years Khan struggled with his public image as he evolved from a baby-faced actor fighting for a foothold in an industry of titans to an actor extraordinaire with enough clout to alter a film’s narrative during its production.
From choosing his scripts carefully to fastidiously ironing out the kinks, Khan’s involvement in the process of filmmaking was largely dominated by his own pursuit of perfection.
But as production evolved into a technology-driven industry and forging ventures with Hollywood studios looking to offset sluggish box office sales became the norm, producers have increasingly started looking at reversing the superlatives to market films.
Industry insiders estimate that foreign studios spent around three to five billion rupees on producing Bollywood films but none hit the mark at the box-office.
However, producers have cottoned on to the reverse psychological effects of bad publicity and Khan has subscribed to it. Rather than letting his film speak for itself, Khan hinted ‘Delhi Belly’ has A-rated content – an infallible way of tantalizing the audiences into finding out what the fuss is all about.
At the time of the release of his home production 'Dhobi Ghat', Khan apologised to the washermen community "if he had unintentionally hurt their sentiments with the title." This may come as shock, but he need not have named his film 'Dhobi Ghat' if he didn't want to court controversy just as he didn't need to produce a film that could stain his spotless record.
Even the legend of a perfectionist Khan who makes directors change a script if it isn’t up to scratch has been honed to perfection by media managers to build the image of a man who acts in few films that mostly do well at the box office.
But does Khan really need to get into "bad" marketing to make a film work? Most of his films or the ones he produced have had strong plots and an ensemble of talented actors. Shouldn't that be enough? Or is the rat race inevitable?
Beware of Aamir Khan’s 'Delhi Belly'!
Perhaps to pre-empt any backlash, producer Aamir Khan and director Abhinay Deo are almost apologetically forthcoming about their film Delhi Belly, starring Imran Khan, Vir Das and Kunaal Roy Kapoor.
The film has a lot of offensive language which may not go down well with the family audiences.
“Honestly, I think a lot may get offended with the language used in the film. Of course, it's completely youth oriented,” Deo is quoted as saying by a news agency.

The film has been scripted by Akshat Verma who is based in Los Angeles.
While conceding the explicit content of the film, Deo does hold that the script is indeed funny.
“The script is outstanding. It's so funny. As a director I could take that script and go further. It's a very my kind of a film,” said Deo.
Earlier, Aamir Khan, the film’s producer, had feared that Delhi Belly will destroy all the goodwill he has created in the industry.
“Aamir Khan Productions is known for its inspiring, clean, family entertainment. All that is about to change! 'Delhi Belly' has the potential of destroying, in a single stroke, all the goodwill we have built in the last 10 years,” Aamir wrote on his blog.
Well, all the remarks about the explicit content of Delhi Belly only create the temptation of the forbidden fruit among the movie buffs. The film likely to open well at the box office on July 1.
