Will Kareena score a hattrick with BODYGUARD?

Kareena Kapoor is the only actress to have a double century and a century to her name when it comes to Bollywood grossers. While her 3 IDIOTS crossed the 200 crore mark, GOLMAAL 3 also topped the 100 crore milestone. Now that she would be seen with Salman Khan who has two back to back centuries (DABANGG and READY) to his name, Bollywood is hoping for some 'double dhamaal' from the duo once BODYGUARD hits the screen.



There is a slight trouble in paradise though. A few wonder though whether BODYGUARD would manage a full fledged release next Wednesday on the occasion of Eid since there would be newer releases in theatres around that time.

"I don't see any issues with that actually since most of them are the ones that have been brought out of cold storage. In any case a full week run for them is ruled out. Do you think that with Salman ready to woo the audience, theatres out there would be actually interested in continuing screening of these smaller films," questions a prominent distributor on condition of anonymity.



It is pretty much turning out to be a win-win situation for BODYGUARD at both multiplexes as well as single screens since both ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA as well as SINGHAM would end their run soon while being content with their superhit tag.

"And let's not forget that with Kareena Kapoor as the leading lady, there is further weight added to the film," the trade pundit continues, "Salman's last three blockbusters didn't have a superstar actress but Kareena tops in this bracket. Then there is Katrina's item number as well. Moreover since it is an Eid release, BODYGUARD only becomes Salman's home ground. Bollywood can well expect a big winner up for grabs here."



With industry, audience as well as trade going gung-ho about BODYGUARD, looks like happy days are only going to continue ahead for Bollywood.
