Van Heusen India Men’s Week kicks off Sept 2
With a congregation of India's 17 leading designers, the third edition of India's only men's fashion fete - Van Heusen India Men's Week is all set to commence in New Delhi from September 2nd and go on till the 4th.
Announcing the participating designers for the VHIMW 2011, Sunil Sethi, President, The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), said "Designers form the epicenter of every fashion week and this time it shall be no different. The third edition of Van Heusen India Men's Week is ready to showcase the best ensembles created in menswear category. I wish them all the very best."
The event opens with Arjun Khanna returning to the capital after a 5-year hiatus. Celebrated couturier Tarun Tahiliani makes his debut presence at the event on the opening night of September 2. Abhishek Gupta, Abraham & Thakore, Anky by Ankita & Anjana Bhargav, Ashish N Soni, Karan Johar and Varun Bahl, Krishna Mehta, Maniviraj Khosla, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rajvi Mohan, Rohit & Abhishek, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Sanchita, Shantanu & Nikhil, Troy Costa & Zubair Kirmani are the designers on the runway roster to present their 2011-12 collection at the three day event.
This year VHIMW will see an increased participation of women designers doing menswear including Anjana Bhargav, Sanchita Ajjampur, Krishna Mehta and Rajvi Mohan.
This three-day fashion event will have Kingfisher Ultra by United Breweries, Men's Health Magazine and Signature brand from United Spirits, as the key event sponsors along with The Grand, New Delhi as the official venue partner for the Van Heusen India Men's Week.
Welcoming the sponsor partners, Mr. Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI said, "FDCI is delighted to have Van Heusen as the title sponsor and Signature and Kingfisher Ultra as the key event sponsors.
